Lost Sales Recovery
Lost Sales Recovery re-engages customers who visited your dealership and showed genuine interest but didn't complete a purchase.
How it works
- Data in — You provide a list of recent showroom visitors or enquiries via SFTP or CSV upload
- Outreach begins — CarBuddy sends a personalised first-touch email on day 1, followed by SMS on day 3 if there's no reply
- AI conversation — When a customer replies, our AI continues the conversation naturally, answering questions and nurturing interest
- Handover — When a customer signals they're ready (requests a test drive, asks about finance, wants to book an appointment), your sales team receives an immediate notification with the full conversation transcript
Outreach schedule
| Day | Channel | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | First touch — personalised to the vehicle they enquired about | |
| 3 | SMS | Follow-up if no reply to email |
| 7 | Final outreach with a soft incentive |
Customers who unsubscribe or reply "not interested" are immediately suppressed.
What the AI handles
- Answering questions about the vehicle (spec, availability, pricing)
- Discussing trade-in options
- Booking test drives
- Passing along finance enquiries
The AI will not quote specific prices or commit to deals — it identifies intent and hands off to your team.
Sample output
