Lost Sales Recovery

Lost Sales Recovery re-engages customers who visited your dealership and showed genuine interest but didn't complete a purchase.

How it works

  1. Data in — You provide a list of recent showroom visitors or enquiries via SFTP or CSV upload
  2. Outreach begins — CarBuddy sends a personalised first-touch email on day 1, followed by SMS on day 3 if there's no reply
  3. AI conversation — When a customer replies, our AI continues the conversation naturally, answering questions and nurturing interest
  4. Handover — When a customer signals they're ready (requests a test drive, asks about finance, wants to book an appointment), your sales team receives an immediate notification with the full conversation transcript

Outreach schedule

DayChannelPurpose
1EmailFirst touch — personalised to the vehicle they enquired about
3SMSFollow-up if no reply to email
7EmailFinal outreach with a soft incentive

Customers who unsubscribe or reply "not interested" are immediately suppressed.

What the AI handles

  • Answering questions about the vehicle (spec, availability, pricing)
  • Discussing trade-in options
  • Booking test drives
  • Passing along finance enquiries

The AI will not quote specific prices or commit to deals — it identifies intent and hands off to your team.

Sample output

When a customer is ready, your team receives:

Qualified Lead: James Smith Vehicle interest: Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost Summary: Customer replied to day-1 email asking about PCP finance options. AI provided general info and offered to connect them with the sales team. Customer confirmed interest and requested a callback this week. [View full conversation →]
