Inbound Calls

CarBuddy's Inbound Calls product uses AI voice agents to handle incoming phone calls to your dealership. It ensures every call is answered, even outside business hours or when your team is busy.

How it works

  1. Call routing — Calls to your dealership number are answered by CarBuddy's AI voice agent
  2. Customer interaction — The AI greets the caller, understands their request, and helps with common queries (service bookings, sales enquiries, parts)
  3. Live vehicle lookup — The AI can check your live stock in real time to answer questions about specific vehicles
  4. Appointment booking — For service and sales enquiries, the AI offers available appointment slots
  5. Handover — Complex queries or customers requesting a human are transferred to your team with context

What callers hear

Callers hear a natural-sounding AI voice that identifies itself as calling from your dealership. The AI is trained on your specific inventory, services, and dealership information.

Monitoring performance

In the portal, the Inbound Calls card shows:

  • Calls Received — total calls handled
  • Bookings — appointments successfully booked (with percentage)

Click View stats by dealership to see a per-location breakdown.

Call recordings

Call transcripts and outcomes are available in the portal for review. Use these to monitor quality and identify common customer queries.
